National Unesco ASPnet project Good news from Ljubljana, from PS Ledina

At Postojna airport

Postojna airport at Rakitnik was a scene of an unusual, but mostly wonderful air
meeting on Sunday 23.6.2002. We saw many old airplanes in the air including the oldest among them Eda V, replication of original Rusjan’s Eda V.

We also met Mr. Albin Novak, the constructor of the Eda V. replica, and we saw in his eyes that he was really proud. We were proud with him!

That was the moment we were waiting for! To see Eda V. in the air! Ej, that was an event! Pilot Tomaž Meze checked the old fashioned plane for the last time before the flight. Usually, this kind of flight does not allow any kind of mistake, each could be fatal.

The weather was good and all eyes were looking towards the sky. And look: first we heard a roar, right after we saw Eda V. The pilot waved at us. We all waved back at him enthusiastically and admired this young man’s bravery.
