ACTIVITIES

The seminar MAN and ANIMALS (2-day (16-hrs) seminar, November 2002)
The seminar for teachers was supported by Slovenian governmental organization, responsible for the education. The aim of the seminar was to introduce animal welfare subjects in primary in secondary schools and to raise awarness about animal welfare issues. The speakers at the seminar were from Zootechnical Department at Biotecnical faculty and from the two NGOs:  Slovenian society for the study and protection of bats - SDPVN and Marine mammal research and conservation society -  Morigenos. Seminar was attended also by RSPCA representative.

Workshop at the faculty of Social Sciences (6-hrs, April 2003)
The participants were the sudents of social sciences. The aim of the workshop was to discuss animal welfare and ethical issues with the future managers.

Participation at the seminar, organized by the Council of Europe:
MODERN METHODS IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION (May 2003)
The audience were nature and social science teachers from Spain, Greece, Austria, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus and Slovenia. Representatives from Ministry of the environment and Slovenian governmental organization, responsible for the education were also present. The speakers were form Slovenia, Austria and Switzerland. Noah school had a lecture and a workshop on the welfare of farm animals.
