Welcome to ITIS d. o. o. Ljubljana, Center for Implantable Technology and Sensors (CITS). We are small scientific company that focuses mainly on design and manufacture of implantable systems for neuromuscular stimulation. We are specialized in the designs and production of various implantable multielectrode systems for selective stimulation of the neuro-muscular and autonomous nervous system as well as electrode systems for selective recording of neural and muscular activity or signals from other excitable tissues. We also offer a theoretical and technical support to various research groups through collaboration on research projects. We produce an implantable system called "Implantable Gait Corrector" (IGC) for stimulation of the common peroneal nerve to prevent foot drop in hemiparetic patients. Significant improvements of a gait with increased velocity were observed. The results show that the problem of foot drop in hemiplegics is solved using described system. We also produce various types of electronic braces and force transducers for measurements of torques and forces in human rehabilitation and animal experiments. Finally, we produce custom designed equipment for research laboratories especially for that conductig basic research through animal experiments. Through our work we are constantly striving to enhance and maintain the high level of quality that we feel is critical in the human and animal research community.
