DRUŠTVO LUTKOVNIH USTVARJALCEV -The Puppeteers' Association, UROŠ TREFALT and PREŠERNOVO GLEDALIŠČE KRANJ

Uroš Trefalt, director and dramaturgist, after having completed his graduate and post-graduate studies at the Prague AMU, proved himself to the domestic and international public as an accomplished artist with an individual approach to theatre and puppet art. By using and experimenting with simple, but fundamental, means of expression, he creates an imaginative theatre of relations between forms, colours, sounds, movements and gestures, in which puppets are neither the only nor the central element of his inspiration guided by the sense of beauty and enjoyment in playing.

Anton Feliks Dev and Janez Damaščan: BELLIN, puppet operetta A short operetta written by A.F. Dev, the first Slovenian baroque opera, the text of which but not the music has been preserved, was resurrected after 200 years in the form of a puppet musical performed by colourful voices which in archaic language present the personified world of powerful natural forces, telling the eternal story of the struggle between good and evil in the kingdom of mythological beings, represented by puppets, and given the appropriate ironic distance by the actual human faces.
