SAMO SIMČIČ
was born on 27.9.1946 in Ljubljana. He studied at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana, at the dramaturgy department, and at the Rudolf-Steiner-Kindergarten Seminar in Bern. He is a dramaturgist and a Waldorf teacher. He has published a collection of poetry Hram (The temple), a fairy tale Pravljica o dedku Mrazu (A tale about Santa Claus), two puppet plays O ptički, ki je ukradla zlato jabolko (The bird which stole the golden apple) and Žalen, and a novel Psomar in njegovi hlapci (Psomar and his servants). He also published a number of essays, and for a while wrote literary criticism. He and his wife founded the first Waldorf Kindergarten in Slovenia, and organized a workshop for Waldorf teachers. He currently lives and works in Switzerland.
