Redni profesor za analitično filozofijo in teorijo znanosti. Na Oddelku za filozofijo Filozofske fakultete v Ljubljani predava predmete: Panoramski uvod v filozofijo, Teorija in filozofija znanosti in Spoznavna teorija - Gnoseologija. Na Fakulteti za matematiko in fiziko v Ljubljani predava Filozofijo znanosti.

Biographical note:
Born on April 27, 1946 in Ljubljana. In 1965 he graduated from the grammar school Poljane, in 1971 he graduated Technical mathematics on the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the Ljubljana-University. In addition, he matriculated philosophy during his study of mathematics. In 1972 he began with his graduate studies in philosophy and completed it in 1974. He was awarded his Ph.D. (degree) in 1981 with the doctor thesis: Basic Philosophical Problems of the Modern Logic (Frege, Russell, and Wittgenstein). In 1974 he became assistant for logic and methodology of science at the Department for philosophy of the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. In 1982 he was appointed assistant professor for analytic philosophy and philosophy of science. In years 1981-1982, 1985, 1988 and 1990 he got the Humboldt scholarship at the Institute for Logic, Theory of Science and Statistics in Munich (by Prof. W. Stegmüller). He studied there the structural theory of science and the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein. In September and October 1995 he was guest professor at the Augsburg College in Minneapolis/USA. He co-operates with many philosophers and philosophical institutions in Slovenia and abroad.
