The Slovenian Genealogy Society International, Inc, is a volunteer staffed, tax exempt non-profit corporation, seeking to provide its members with useful information linking them to their ancestors, their homeland, and others interested in Slovenian genealogy. SGSI volunteers collect books and other records, translate texts from Slovenian to English, and participate in an ever increasing number of projects designed to preserve and protect records documenting the lives of every individual of Slovenian ancestry. SGSI maintains several internet or web sites to aid members and distribute information about the society and its activities.
