Background of the project component:
AdriaASFA
(Improved Information on Aquatic and Fishery Sciences) is one of the Adriamed
Project Components approved by the Adriamed Coordination Committee in
March 2000. Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) is an abstracting
and indexing service covering the world's aquatic science and literature.
Adriamed became an International ASFA Partner in April 2000. AdriaASFA
is designed and developed to provide improved access within Adriamed countries
(Albania, Croatia, Italy and Slovenia) to the ASFA aquatic sciences and
fishery information and to ensure the widest possible circulation of Adriatic
Sea scientific literature published in the region. AdriaASFA also aims
to contribute to the preparation of an Adriatic Sea scientific regional
directory through gathering and compiling of all the available scientific
information.
