Cveto Prevodnik, by profession
an art teacher, employed at the Fran Kranjac Elementary
School in Celje.
He works mainly in drawing techniques: colored pencil,
lavatory drawing, pastel, but also in acrylic and oil
techniques. It depicts the world around it (children,
family, interior). The basic motifs are the figure and the
portrait, trying to bring perspective, line and plot to
them. The drawings are illustrative, childish and simple.
The canvases in acrylic are mostly interiors and moments
(they can tell you a long story) captured in the play of
light and shadows, which the author seeks to solve with a
few measured shades of colors ...
In the 1990s, he published art contributions in Ciciban and
PIL, had several solo exhibitions, and participated in group
exhibitions as a member of the Kamnik Art Society. In the
new millennium, he collaborated as an illustrator with the
label Literary Wave. In the last period, he also devotes
himself to caricatures, which are closer to portraits.
