Barraca de vinyes is the stone shelter in Catalan language for the vine cottage but it is not everywhere used for this purpose. Barraques can be found near Barcelona in Catalunya, Spain in countries Bages, Anoia, Alt Penedes as well as in Taragones, near Valencia also.
The ground plans of constructions are mostly circle or square, the inner space are often circle, instead of square outer shape of shelter.
The construction is double: inner is in perfect position of statics and it caries all the composition, and outer construction is the frame only.
There is not only one proportional system: the shelters use equilateral triangle, which define the height of barraques, the circles in inner spaces, and the combinations of two radius' plus thickness of the wall are the height in whole. They are in use today, too.
