KANIŽARICA MINE AFTER CLOSING

Mine Kanižarica started its closing in december 17. 1995. They had to close it because the running costs were higher then the profit. They had to deal with unemployment problems because the miners couldn't get jobs in other companies. Slovenia had four mines for mining coal but now almost all of them are in closing stage.The president of the mine was Andrej Fabjan and the director was Silvo Gardešič. Overall there were 178 workers employed in the mine. They are now cleaning the sector and letting the nature to go back on its place.
