There is a football club  in Podzemelj called NK Status Kolpa. It is known all over Slovenia. There are more teams in it: members, older boys and juniors. They all reach good resoults and are making themselves valued between slovenian football clubs. They devote a lot of attencion to juniors, who are leaded by Sašo Mirosavljeviè. There are 26 juniors in the team from Metlika and Podzemelj.
